About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Field Engineering Intern to join our dynamic project team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in heavy civil construction, working closely with experienced professionals in the field.
Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with the project team, including Project Managers and Superintendents, to plan and execute heavy civil construction projects.
Learn how to read and interpret contracts, develop project schedules, and analyze project plans and specifications.
Perform material takeoffs and assist in tracking project progress, material usage, and costs using construction project management software.
Gain hands-on experience operating entry-level construction equipment under the guidance of highly trained machine operators.
Receive training in basic land surveying techniques and work with Topcon and Leica GPS surveying equipment.
Requirements
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn all aspects of heavy civil contracting.
Must pass a drug and background check prior to employment.
Availability to work 40-60 hours per week.
