About The Role

We are seeking skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operators to join our field operations team. Ideal candidates will have experience operating heavy civil construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, rollers, and

loaders, or have recently completed an accredited operator certification program. 


This role requires the ability to travel to various project sites across the Mid-Atlantic and DMV area.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to company standards and project requirements.

  • Perform excavation, grading, backfilling, site preparation, material handling, and other tasks depending on equipment type.

  • Work closely with Foremen, Superintendents, and other crew members to ensure accurate and timely project execution.

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, perform basic maintenance, and report mechanical issues promptly.

  • Assist with site layout, grade checks, and maintaining production goals.

  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety on the jobsite.

  • Support various field operations as needed to help meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment or recent completion of a recognized heavy equipment operator training program.

  • Ability to safely operate equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, loaders, rollers, and skid steers.

  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices, equipment limits, and operational efficiencies.

  • Ability to read and follow directions, site plans, and grade stakes.  Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.

  • Ability to travel and work on projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic / DMV region.

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

  • Must pass required drug and background screenings.
